On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Jhal Magsi, Syed Rahmatullah Shah, Assistant Commissioner Gandawah, Abdul Majid Muhammad Hasani, along with (Risaldar Major) Abdul Hakeem Abro, conducted a surprise visit to the commercial center of Gandawah Market in the city and its suburbs.
During the visit, they inspected the cleanliness and sanitation of grocery stores, meat shops, vegetable and fruit markets, dairy shops, and hotels, and reviewed the price list. They also warned traders who did not comply with the price list prepared by the Price Control Committee of heavy fines and strict action.
In a joint statement, Deputy Commissioner Jhal Magsi, Syed Rahmatullah Shah, and Assistant Commissioner Gandawah, Abdul Majid Muhammad Hasani, said that no one is above the law, and artificial and self-imposed price hikes, hoarding, and selling expired and unhealthy items will not be tolerated. They warned that traders who engage in such practices will not be shown any leniency or mercy.
They added that grand operations will be conducted against traders who engage in profiteering and artificial price hikes, and strict action will be taken against them. They urged the traders of Gandawah to comply with the price list prepared by the government.
