QUETTA: The Balochistan cabinet has approved to bring the federal levies force in the administrative structure of Balochistan levies force and constituted a committee to decide future of the federal levies and the related matters.
The committee would be headed by the Provincial Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs, Mir Ziaullah Langove with provincial ministers Sadar Sarfraz Domki, Noor Muhammad Dummar and Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran.
The cabinet also accorded approval to the establishment of Forensic Science Agency and Women Police Station in Sibi.
Besides, the cabinet approved bills for prevention of the early age marriages and domestic violence against women.
In addition to this, the cabinet approved formation of Balochistan Pharmacy Council and increase in the renewal and issuance fees of the private security companies in the province.
This and similar other information were shared by the spokesman, Government of Balochistan, Shahid Rind while briefing the media persons about the decisions made in the provincial cabinet here at the CM’s secretariat on Wednesday.
The two-day meeting of cabinet was chaired by the Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti.
About the cabinet meeting, the spokesman of provincial government informed that the cabinet meeting remain continued for two days. During the course of meeting, some 30 points were discussed and important decisions made on different administration matters and about public interest.
Shahid Rind said that the cabinet laid emphasis on improving governance in education and health sectors agreeing to bring about reforms in the province.
He said that the cabinet members emphasized in the cabinet meeting that improvement in service delivery is necessary particularly in health and education sectors.
In this connection, the cabinet has directed to provincial ministers of Education and Health to prepare comprehensive recommendations for improvement in their respective departments.
He said that while the cabinet approved the bills about prevention of early age marriages and elimination of domestic violence, there was also discussion on the matter of federal levies in the province.
In this regard, the cabinet approved to form a committee headed by the Minister Home, Mir Ziaullah Langove on the matter of federal levies in the province.
Moreover, the cabinet declared it compulsory for the Muslim students to get Qura’an education.
While on the other hand, the cabinet supported the constitutional bill regarding increase in the seats of Balochistan. The bill was tabled by the Senator Kohda Babar in the Senate, adding he mentioned.
Similarly, the cabinet decided to appoint the chairman and members of provincial zakat council on merit through test and interview.
He said that the cabinet has also laid focus on establishing good governance in the province, which is not possible without the system of reward and punishment to the responsible.
To a query, the spokesman of provincial government mentioned that arrangements are being made to bring back the students of Balochistan from Kyrgyzstan.
For the purpose, the focal persons of the provincial government including Provincial Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar and MPA Zarin Khan Magsi are already in Islamabad on directives of Chief Minister.
He said that the students belonging to Balochistan would be brought back by a special plane on the provincial government expense.
