Armed Men Storm Arts Council of Pakistan Larkana, Steal Records and Hold Staff Hostage

Larkana,Nov. 16 Pakistan – In a brazen attack, unidentified armed men stormed the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) Larkana, taking staff members hostage and making off with crucial office records and equipment.¹ The assailants smashed the windows of the ACP president’s office, seized the phone and fax machine, and fled the scene.

According to sources, the ACP Larkana president had recently suspended the membership of six artists and actors, sparking fears that they may be involved in the attack. The suspended members allegedly collaborated with the miscreants to vandalize the office.

Protesting the incident, Abdul Sattar Khuhwar, Muhammad Pinjal Sangi, Ijaz Solangi, Fida Malana, Munwar Rind, and others associated with ACP Larkana expressed concerns that the suspended members may have orchestrated the attack in retaliation.
