(Independent Report) Bagh, August 8: Chairman Anti-Corruption Bureau Azad Kashmir, Muhammad Mushtaq Janjua, has reiterated his commitment to eradicating corruption from the region. He stated that those involved in corruption will not be spared, and every penny from the public exchequer will be accounted for.
Janjua made these remarks during a meeting with district officers in Bagh, where he emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in governance. He directed officers to regularly inspect ongoing projects and take action against any irregularities.
The chairman clarified that the Anti-Corruption Bureau does not take suo moto notice of complaints but requires a written application, identity card, and affidavit from the complainant. He assured that the bureau is committed to eliminating corruption, free from political pressure.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Sadaqat Khan, SP Khurram Iqbal, Chairman District Council Sardar Asif, ADC Afat Azam, and other officials. Janjua also issued instructions to officers regarding public complaints and directed various departments to resolve the issues.
He warned that misuse of national wealth will not be tolerated, and action will be taken against those found guilty. Janjua emphasized the need for all institutions to work within their limits and focus on completing development projects transparently and efficiently.
He stressed that collective efforts are necessary for national reconstruction and to ensure that people benefit from development initiatives.
