Anti-Narcotics Force Cracks Down on Drug Peddling Near Educational Institutions

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a nationwide crackdown on drug peddling and smuggling, particularly around educational institutions. In a series of 15 operations, 17 suspects were apprehended and over 94.806 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs. 2 crore were seized.


– _Lahore:_ 6 kilograms of charas were recovered near a university in Johar Town, with three suspects arrested.
– _Islamabad:_ 300 grams of ice and 25 intoxicating tablets were seized near a university on Japan Road.
– _Rawalpindi:_ 200 grams of charas were recovered from two suspects near a university on Lalazar Road.

– _Karachi:_ 14.5 kilograms of ice were found hidden in 20 books being sent to Australia via courier.
– _Lahore Airport:_ 900 grams of ice were seized from a passenger traveling to Jeddah.
– _Lahore Airport:_ 2 kilograms of heroin were recovered from a passenger traveling to Malaysia.
– _Islamabad Airport:_ 706 grams of heroin were seized from a passenger traveling to Dammam.

The ANF’s efforts are part of a larger campaign to g7 curb the spread of narcotics in Pakistan, particularly near educational institutions ¹.
