ANTI-NARCOTICS FORCE (ANF) TEAM COMES UNDER FIRE DURING OPERATION

In a tragic turn of events, two personnel of the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and a civilian lost their lives in a firing incident near Jhelum’s Turkai Toll Plaza. The ANF team had attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle, but the occupants opened fire on the team, leading to the martyrdom of Head Constable Gulzar, Lance Naik Mazhar, and a civilian. Another personnel was critically injured and rushed to DHQ Hospital Jhelum, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The ANF team was conducting an operation against drug smugglers when the incident occurred. The force has vowed to continue its efforts against drug trafficking, despite the tragic loss of its personnel
