Peshawar : Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited Peshawar region has continued it’s massive Anti Gas Theft drive and crackdown against gas thieves in Districts Peshawar, Nowshehra, Charsadda, Kohat, Karak, Bannu, Lakki and D.I Khan. During the period 06 Sep’2023 to 21 Sep’2023, 588 Illegal Connections, 367 suspected Domestic & Commercial Meters have been replaced and 36 FIRs have been lodged against Gas thieves in various Police Stations.General Manager SNGPL Peshawar Mr. Rehmat Ullah Khan emphasized that gas thieves will be dealt with Iron hands. SNGPL task force teams will be accompanied with law enforcement agencies and strict action as per Gas theft and recovery act and PPC 462 will be taken which involves on-spot arrests, confiscation of appliances used in gas theft and imprisonment up to 10 years besides heavy fines.General Public is also requested to immediately lodge gas theft complaint with SNGPL for immediate action against the culprits.
