QUETTA: The Provincial President of Awami National Party (ANP), Asghar Khan Achakzai has stated that the ANP had supported Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) in the bi-elections of Senate held in Balochistan recently.
Talking to the media persons on Saturday, Asghar Achakzai said that PPP, PML-N and JUI secured one seat each in the Senate bi-elections.
Asghar Khan Achakzai said that it would be our endeavour and desire that Senators may be elected unopposed In Balochistan like Sindh.
We would also want that there may not set up mandi for sale and purchase of the Senate seat in the province.
He said that PPP could have also won the third seat in the bi-elections even, it it would make an attempt for the same.
However, all parties honored the mandate of each other in the Senate bi-polls.
He also demanded of all government and opposition parties to forge unity so as to get their seats in the upcoming Senate elections.
