ANP Leader Slams Government’s Inaction Against Terrorism

Mian Iftikhar Hussain, President of Awami National Party’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, has strongly criticized the government’s handling of terrorism, stating that it appears helpless against terrorists from Kohat to Waziristan ¹. Speaking at the Islamicia College University in Peshawar, Hussain questioned the government’s authority when police are ordered to stay within their stations, implying that if police are unsafe and unable to venture out, who is really in control?
Hussain expressed distrust in government operations and negotiations, citing civilian casualties and no harm to terrorists. He emphasized that previous negotiations have only led to the displacement of citizens, while terrorists roam free. Hussain stressed that unity is the only effective way to combat terrorism and urged the government to include the Pakhtun community in decision-making processes.
