Peshawar:16 Sep. In a scathing criticism, Awami National Party (ANP) leader Arsalan Khan has condemned the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for increasing fees at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), calling it a “cruel” decision that will exacerbate the suffering of the people.
The decision to increase emergency, OPD, and admission fees at LRH has been dubbed as a “business model” that prioritizes profits over people’s lives. Khan accused the government of abandoning its responsibility to provide quality healthcare services to the poor.
The ANP leader criticized the PTI government’s healthcare policies, saying they have failed to deliver on promises of affordable and quality healthcare. He demanded that the government revisit its priorities and focus on governance instead of criticizing others.
Immediate reversal of fee hike
– Affordable and quality healthcare services for all. Accountability for failed healthcare policies This fee hike is a slap in the face of the poor. The government has failed to deliver on its promises and is now punishing the people for its own incompetence.” – Arsalan Khan, ANP Leader
