ANF SEIZES 204KG OF NARCOTICS IN NATIONWIDE CRACKDOWN

Islamabad, August 5 (Independent Report) – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has dealt a significant blow to drug traffickers, seizing 204 kilograms of narcotics in seven operations across the country.

According to an ANF press release, the operations were carried out in Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore, and Islamabad, resulting in the seizure of heroin, ice, charas, and opium.

In Karachi, ANF officials seized 2.8 kilograms of heroin from a parcel bound for London at a courier office. At Peshawar Airport, 980 grams of ice were seized from a passenger traveling to Bahrain.

In Lahore, ANF officials seized 88.8 kilograms of charas and 31.2 kilograms of opium from a car near Kot Abdul Malik Toll Plaza, arresting the driver. Another 72 kilograms of charas were seized from a car near Ravi Toll Plaza, and the driver was also arrested.

On the M1 Motorway in Islamabad, three operations resulted in the seizure of 3 kilograms of opium, 5 kilograms of charas, and 300 grams of ice, with three suspects arrested.

Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations have begun.

The ANF spokesperson reiterated the force’s commitment to eradicating drug trafficking and vowed to continue taking action against those involved in the illegal trade.
