The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has thwarted a significant attempt to smuggle methamphetamine (ice) into the country, recovering 4.5 kg of the substance from a Hino truck at the Chakri Motorway Toll Plaza.
Acting on credible intelligence, ANF officials intercepted the truck and arrested its driver. A thorough search of the vehicle revealed 10 kg of ice cleverly concealed within two batteries. Further investigation led to the recovery of four packets totaling 4.5 kg.
The successful operation demonstrates ANF’s vigilance and expertise in countering narcotics smuggling. The force remains committed to protecting society, particularly youth, from the harmful effects of drugs.
A case has been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act against the arrested suspect, and further investigation is underway.
