RAWALPINDI, : In a major operation, Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled a bid to smuggle 125 kg charras to Qatar, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman here on Saturday.
He informed that in an operation conducted at Pakistan International Container Terminal Karachi, an attempt to smuggle drugs abroad under the guise of vegetables and fruits export was foiled and ANF recovered 125 kg hashish from a container booked for Doha, Qatar.
He said that 125 kg hashish tactfully concealed in layers of onions was recovered from the container.
The consignment was booked for Doha, Qatar by a private company in Karachi, he said adding that the operation was being conducted to net the accused.
