ANF CRACKS DOWN ON DRUG PEDDLING, SMUGGLING AROUND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) continued its crackdown on drug peddling and smuggling around educational institutions, arresting four suspects in two operations over the past 24 hours.

In one operation, 950 grams of charas were recovered from a rickshaw near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza in Attock. The arrested suspect confessed to selling drugs to students ¹.

Another operation near Motorway Toll Plaza in Islamabad resulted in the seizure of 12 kilograms of charas and the arrest of three suspects.

The recovered drugs are valued at over Rs 9 lakh. Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are underway.

The ANF has made establishing drug-free educational institutions its top priority.

This crackdown is part of the ANF’s ongoing efforts to curb drug smuggling and peddling in Punjab, following a series of successful operations in the region ¹.
