QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has stated that the provincial government is spending its resources on youths of the province minimizing its other needs and projects.
He exhorted the youths to adopt positive approach for development and not be misled.
He said that it was a dream to send youths of the province abroad for livelihood after making them skilled and now that historic dream is being materialized.
The Chief Minister was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Chief Minister Youth Skills Development Programme here on Friday morning.
The Chief Minister formally inaugurated the CM Youth Skills Development Programme.
Under which, some 30,000 youngsters would be sent abroad for livelihood.
First batch of the skilled youngsters would be sent abroad in November this year.
The provincial ministers, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretaries, administrative secretaries of the concerned departments, other senior officials and government functionaries participated in the ceremony.
The Chief Minister asserted without mincing the words that merit would be ensured in implementation on the CM Youth Skills Development Programme and asked the ministers, secretaries and other officers to ensure it.
The Chief Minister also announced that selection of the youngsters would be made equally from all districts.
He urged the youngsters going abroad from Balochistan under the programme to highlight better image of the country.
He said that those going abroad for the livelihood are ambassadors of Pakistan and thus they should earn good name for it.
He also exhorted the youngsters to adopt positive approach for development.
Referring the background and idea of CM Youth Skills Development Programme, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that unemployment is a big challenge while on the other hand, the opportunities of jobs are limited. So under the given circumstances, the only solution we found out is to send youngsters abroad after making them skilled.
He mentioned that the President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were agreed to the idea. Rather Chairman PPP wholeheartedly encouraged us to implement the programme, he added.
The Chief Minister said that we are committed to providing opportunities of development and livelihood to the youths of the province.
He said that dream of development of youths is also going to be materialized. He said that we are providing the opportunities to the talented youths of the province to move ahead under the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Programme. Under the Programme, the provincial government would bear the educational expenses of the students for 16 years.
The Chief Minister on the occasion expressed the resolve to bring the youngsters closer to the State by ending bad governance.
He also reiterated his resolve that no job would be sold out and merit would be ensured.
He noted with concern that while we are providing opportunities of progress to the youngsters, they are being made suicide bombers on the other side, he added emphasizing that now the decision has to be made by the people of province.
He said that the State is our identity and as such we have to honou it.
The Chief Minister said that the passage of development comes out from Balochistan, while uneven development is the issue of whole province. He regretfully pointed out that falseness is spread through baseless propaganda on social media.
He said that while Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s summit was going on in Islamabad, on the other hand, resentment was spread through baseless propaganda of rape.
He once again urged the youths to move ahead by adopting positive approach.
