QUETTA: The caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai has termed the Supreme Court’s verdict on the trial of civilians in the military courts as historic and said that it is surely a bad news for those indulged in terrorism as well as pleaders of disturbance and political riots in the country.
He said that the apex court backed the state by giving the verdict on crucial matter while ignoring the negative propaganda and pressure groups of a particular political party.
He said that the state of Pakistan would be strengthened with the significant verdict of the Supreme Court, which suspended the previous verdict against the trial of civilians in the military courts.
The caretaker Minister Information was addressing a hurriedly called press conference at Quetta Press Club on Wednesday.
Giving his reaction over the SC’s verdict on the military courts, the Minister Information said that the apex court sided by the state in the important matters related to its security.
He regretfully pointed out that a political party run the negative campaign against the Chief Justice and bench hearing the case.
He said that those involved in the terrorism as well turbulence and political riots would be dealt with iron hands.
The terrorists as well as their handlers, facilitators and supports would be overcome through this verdict of the apex court, he maintained.
Referring the Afghanistan and terrorism act in DI Khan the other day, the caretaker Minister termed the DI Khan terrorism act as 9/11 of the country.
He said that the revenge of every drop of blood would be taken from the terrorists.
He said that Pakistan hosted Afghan refugees for four decades bearing burden on the country’s development and resources.
Pakistan always preferred Afghanistan in the international relations, but it is regretted to note that it (Afghanistan) is going to become hub of terrorism, Jan Achakzai charged. He said that our martyrs are very important to us.
He also said that Taliban administration is responsible for such incidents and as such it would have to clear its position.
