Acted International Provides Relief to Jaffarabad Flood Victims

Jaffarabad (Correspondent ): Acted International’s Area Coordinator Sardar Muhammad Khalid, Livelihood Officer Syed Talib Rasool Shah, and Security Lines Officer Syed Badar Shah spoke to the media about the devastating impact of recurring floods in Jaffarabad. The floods have not only damaged infrastructure but also disrupted human life, leaving people homeless and without access to basic necessities like clean water and sanitation.

Following the 2022 floods, Acted International, with the support of USAID, initiated relief efforts in Jaffarabad and Nasirabad Division. These efforts include emergency relief, education, and access to clean water in Nasirabad, Sohbatpur, Jaffarabad, and Usta Muhammad.

Deputy Commissioner Jaffarabad, Azhar Shahzad, inaugurated the distribution of relief checks worth Rs 15,000 each to deserving families at the Municipal Corporation Assembly in Dera Allah Yar.

Acted International is working on various projects in different union councils of Jaffarabad, providing financial assistance to small business owners affected by the floods. This support enables them to revive their businesses and support their families.

Additionally, the organization is providing financial aid to extremely poor and vulnerable individuals, including women, who are unable to work. Acted International is also working on projects to provide clean water in remote areas.

In partnership with the community, Acted International ensures transparency in identifying deserving families and providing relief. With the support of USAID, the organization is committed to reaching the most vulnerable households, providing financial assistance after thorough verification.
