A strategy has been prepared to deal with possible floods during monsoon rains in Ghotki district, instructions have been issued to the municipal officers to activate dewatering pumps and necessary machinery, officials of the irrigation department to monitor the safety dams. will According to the details, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali to review the arrangements to deal with possible floods. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioners, Irrigation Department, Health, Municipal and Livestock officers including officers of Pak Army and Rangers. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that all arrangements should be completed to deal with possible floods during monsoon rains, in this regard the officials of the Irrigation Department should monitor the safety dams across the district while the municipal officers including diverting pumps. Make the necessary machinery operational so that immediate drainage can be arranged from cities during possible urban floods. No laxity will be acceptable in this regard, Irrigation department and municipal staff will not get holidays during possible heavy rains/floods. Therefore, the relevant officials should make effective strategies so that difficulties do not occur during possible floods. On this occasion, he also directed the DHO and Deputy Director of Livestock to make arrangements to provide treatment facilities to the affected people and cattle during possible floods
