A public gathering (khuli katchehri) was held in Shalman, a remote area of Khyber District, to address the issues faced by the local people. The event was attended by MNA Iqbal Afridi, former federal minister Pir Noorul Haq Qadri’s secretary Amir Muhammad Khan Afridi, Assistant Commissioner Landikotal Arshad Ali Mehmood, and officials from various government departments. The locals presented their complaints and demands, including the need for a sub-divisional status for Shalman, better road connectivity, and a special development package. The officials assured the locals of possible measures to address their issues and provide basic facilities like healthcare and education. MNA Iqbal Afridi also distributed zakat (charity) among deserving individuals on the occasion.
