A meeting of the District Polio Task Force was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Lieutenant (R) Saad bin Asad. The meeting was attended by DHO Quetta, Deputy DHO Quetta, Polio officers, and EPI officers. The meeting reviewed the report on polio vaccination and coverage from January to June 2024. Detailed reports on under-dosing, refusal coverage, and staffing issues were also presented. The meeting was informed about the areas where teams could not reach, including Zarakhutto, Dagar, and Panjpai. The Deputy Commissioner expressed disappointment and directed the District Health Committee to terminate the services of 4 polio workers and vaccinators. He warned that strict action would be taken against those who showed negligence in their duties.

A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Muhammad Waqar Kakar to review the preparations and arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Anwar Kakar, Assistant Commissioner (City) Captain (R) Abdullah bin Arif, Assistant Commissioner ( Headquarters) Captain (R) Hamza Anjum, and other officials. Important decisions were made regarding the duties and responsibilities of revenue staff during Muharram. The Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) directed that all officers and employees would perform their duties diligently, and any negligence would not be tolerated. Emergency services would be activated during Muharram, and all leaves would be cancelled. Strict action would be taken against those who absented themselves from duty during Muharram.
