A meeting held between Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat and Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir to discuss starting a nutrition program in schools and providing health services to students. Both ministers agreed not to compromise on the quality of food in the nutrition program. Khawaja Imran Nazir praised Rana Sikandar Hayat for his revolutionary efforts in education and his vision for possible educational reforms. He also appreciated the Education Minister’s efforts to educate out-of-school children and implement health and nutrition programs in schools. Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that the pilot project for the nutrition program will begin in Raiwand tehsil. If successful, this model will be expanded to all schools. He mentioned that the tender process for selecting food supply firms is underway and will be completed soon, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high food quality and banning substandard suppliers. He also stated that significant steps will be taken to improve health services for students, with around 7 million students expected to benefit from the Student Health Program and Nutrition Program. During the meeting, they discussed various suggestions related to health and nutrition programs.
