A farewell ceremony was organized by the National Highways and Motorway Police Training College and Central Region (NHMP) officers in honor of IG Sultan Ali Khowaja at Training College. IG Sultan Ali Khowaja is retiring from the NHMP after completing his service as Inspector General (IG) of the Police. The farewell ceremony was attended by Additional IG, Zubir Hashmi, Additional IG, Ali Ahmed Sabir Kayani, Commandant College DIG Syed Hashmat Kamal, DIG Vigilance & IT Salman Sultan Rana, Zonal Commander DIG Shahid Javed, DIG Syed Farid Ali, DIG Sulman Ali, and officers, staff, and officials who came together to honor the remarkable contributions of IG Sultan Ali Khawaja during his tenure. The participants expressed heartfelt sentiments, praising IG Sultan Ali Khowaja’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the NHMP’s mission. The Inspector General’s efforts in increasing the daily allowance of NHMP, implementation of axel load regimen, excise data, Public Service Vehicle Management Information System (PSVMIS), Inspections and Certificates System Punjab (VICKS), enhancing training programs, implementing cutting-edge technologies, and fostering a culture of professionalism have significantly contributed to the overall effectiveness of the NHMP. Additional IG, Ali Ahmed Sabir Kayani, said, “It is a great honor working under his command.” Syed Hashmat Kamal mentioned that development in IT, fine enhancement, and axel load management is a great contribution by IG Sultan Ali Khowaja. In his farewell address, IG Sultan Ali Khowaja mentioned that the Motorway Police had introduced the CE license system. The CE license is highly sought after in the USA, Canada, and Europe, making it a valuable asset for generating foreign exchange in the country. The focus extends to accident data and post-crash management, and efforts are dedicated to realizing Shudha’s Family Dream Project. NHMP officers are a source of pride for IG Sultan Ali, who expressed gratitude for the support and cooperation he received during his tenure. He emphasized the collective achievements of the NHMP and encouraged continued dedication to the organization’s mission. IG Sultan Ali Khowaja expressed his deep appreciation for the collective efforts of the NHMP team and the camaraderie among the officers. IG Sultan Ali Khowaja, while expressing his gratitude to the NHMP officers for organizing the farewell party, said, “It is an honor to retire as IG from a department that is a place of integrity not only in Pakistan but the world over.” He emphasized the importance of upholding the principles of integrity and professionalism in the continued service of the NHMP.
