_INQUIRY REVEALS EMbezzLEMENT OF 25.6 MILLION RUPEES IN KOLHU DISTRICT_

An inquiry was conducted by the Anti-Corruption Director General, Abdul Wahid Kakar, on the complaint of the Chairman of the Municipal Committee of Kolhu District, which revealed embezzlement of 25.6 million rupees from development funds.
During the inquiry, it was discovered that 9.6 million rupees were recovered, and forensic reports confirmed that fake signatures were used to withdraw government funds from the Municipal Committee of Kolhu District between 2020 and 2024.
A case has been registered against the accused, including former Chief Officer Muhammad Yusuf, Cashier Jalal Muri, Sweeper Bangar Khan, and Contractor Muhammad Akhtar. All accused, except Muhammad Akhtar, have been arrested. The accused have revealed the involvement of other suspects, whose arrests are expected.
The accused have caused a loss of 15.9 million rupees to the government treasury. Further investigations are underway.
