Peshawar, July (independent report ): The father of Principal Information Officer (PIO) of the Federal Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Mubashir Hassan, was laid to rest in Peshawar Cantt Board Cemetery on Saturday. The deceased, Ghulam Sabir, passed away at the age of 94 after a brief illness at a private hospital in Islamabad on Friday.
A large number of people, including Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, Assistant Secretary-General of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Media Coordinator of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Bader Shahbaz Warraich, Director-General Information Service Academy, Arshad Munir, Prime Minister’s Speechwriter, Arshad Malik, and members of the Prime Minister’s Media Team, attended the funeral prayer.
Other notable attendees included officials from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, retired bureaucrats, senior journalists, columnists, and prominent political and social figures.
