With a prominent mandate to uplift the nation’s economic and financial landscape, enhance business appeal, attract trade and investment, and pave the way for forthcoming free and fair elections, this Cabinet’s formation heralds a pivotal chapter in Pakistan’s journey toward stability and progress.
He further said that Mr. Gohar Ejaz, appointment as Caretaker Federal Minister for Commerce & Industries will facilitate the representation of trade and industry in the caretaker setup at this crucial juncture in Pakistan’s economic history. We needed a strong voice in the interim setup from within the industry – and, Mr. Gohar Ejaz is an excellent choice for his exceptional credentials as an industrialist and exporter himself. He is Chairman of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association, Gohar Ejaz is a respected figure in Pakistan. His qualifications include a business degree, and he heads the “Ejaz Group Of Companies,” comprising Ejaz Spinning Mills Limited and Ejaz Textile Mills Limited. Mirza Abdul Rehman Said that, maintained that the illustrious track record of Mr. Gohar Ejaz speaks volumes on his ability to come up with practical solutions to economic problems and get things done. Therefore, he is optimistic that Mr. Gohar Ejaz will be an effective & productive commerce minister and deliver results for trade and industry. Mirza Abdul Rehman pinned his hopes that Mr. Gohar Ejaz will be able to remove major bottlenecks in the growth of Pakistan’s exports in general – and, regional, border, or barter trade through land-based routes in particular.
Mirza Abdul Rehman has welcomed Jalil Abbas Jilani as appointed as Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs. He hoped that Jalil Abbas Jilani enhances bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, climate change, and people-to-people contacts to further deepen friendship with other countries. No doubt Pakistan’s and other countries of world relations will further strengthen in the coming years. Jalil Abbas Jilani is a revered diplomat who is known for his services. He remained appointed to important positions including foreign secretary of Pakistan after serving as Pakistan’s envoy to the US, and other nations. Appointing an experienced person like Jalil Abbas Jilani as the supervising federal finance minister is a good move as he has extensive experience in foreign affairs. Mirza Abdul Rehman further said that Jalil Abbas Jilani is a highly experienced diplomat. With a notable career, he served as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the USA and held the position of Secretary of Foreign Affairs for an extended period. His legacy is marked by adept diplomatic thinking and skills, and he has contributed to Pakistan’s interests for 36 years as a dedicated career diplomat.
In a statement, Mirza Abdul Rehman said that Caretake PM Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and his Cabinet members are educated, competent, and hard-working people. He said the inclusion of qualified and capable people with extensive experience and expertise in appointment as the Prime Minister & Federal Ministers is a good decision. He further said that Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, Gohar Ejaz & Jalil Abbas Jilani’s leadership skills cannot be denied, hoping said he will make good decisions as caretaker cabinet. Mirza Abdul Rehamn furter said that Similarly, PM Anwar ul Haq Kakar, Federal Minister Gohar Ejaz, and other ministers also have vast experience in their respective fields which proves that the running of the country is now in the right hands. All the credit goes to the current Army Chief General Asim Munir for the best decisions and initiatives such as the appointment of qualified and experienced people in the current supervisory federal cabinet. This big, important and thoughtful decision shows that the decisions being made in the current situation will definitely be a manifestation of the country’s economic development and better relations with other countries.
