INITIATION OF CORPORATE WELLNESS WEEK FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE POPULATION WELFARE DEPARTMENT AND PUNJAB FOOD AUTHORITY

JOB PROFESSIONALS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH HEALTH AWARENESS, FREE CHECK-UPS, AND DIET PLANS.

Lahore, July 18: A seminar on the theme of “Healthy Body, Healthy Mind” was organized at Alhamra Arts Council Lahore, in collaboration with the Punjab Food Authority. The Corporate Wellness Week for employees of the Population Welfare Department and Punjab Food Authority has commenced. Job professionals will be provided with health awareness, free check-ups, and diet plans. Director-General of the Punjab Food Authority, Raja Jahangir Anwar, and Director-General of Population Welfare, Saman Roy, visited the camp established as part of this initiative. Nutritional awareness was provided to the employees at the camp to help them maintain a healthy routine. Detailed nutritional charts were prepared at the individual level in collaboration with the officials of the Population Welfare Department.

Addressing the participants of the seminar, Director-General of Population Welfare, Saman Roy, stated that proper dietary guidance for office workers is essential, and the Punjab Food Authority’s initiative is commendable. Consuming simple and nutritious food not only improves our health but also enhances our productivity. Director-General of the Punjab Food Authority, Raja Jahangir Anwar, mentioned that officers and employees’ blood pressure, weight, and fat were tested at the camp. A team of more than 30 nutrition experts provided complete diet plans to 200 officers. Every Pakistani consumes 24 kilograms of ghee annually, whereas the average global consumption ranges from 3 to 5 kilograms per person. Consuming a balanced diet and engaging in exercise were emphasized as guarantees for a healthy lifestyle.
