Provincial Minister for Information & Tourism Amir Mir inaugurated the Pak-Iran Heritage Exchange Exhibition today at Alhamra Arts Council. Joined by the Iranian Consul General, Mehran Muvahid, the event promises to be a treat for art lovers. Talking on the occasion, the provincial minister said that the aim of the exhibition is to strengthen ties between Pakistan and Iran through cultural exchange. This event serves as a bridge, bringing people closer together and providing an opportunity to appreciate the rich history and culture of both Pakistan and Iran, thereby strengthening bilateral relations, he added. Amir Mir said that Pakistan and Iran share the common religious and cultural values that bind both nations together. He said that the Pakistani Biker Group recent tour to Iran is showcased in captivating and stunning photographs. Amir Mir emphasized the significance of such events in building stronger Pak-Iran relations. Both countries boast rich cultural heritage, and their people’s vibrant traditions are evident. He stressed the importance of fostering harmony and understanding among people to enhance international relations. While congratulating the Punjab Tourism Department and TDCP for organizing such a vibrant event, the provincial minister hoped that this tradition will continue in future as well. Amir Mir, accompanied by the Consul General of Iran also visited the stalls. The exhibition also featured live Iranian music, adding a delightful touch to the atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a diverse display of handicrafts, paintings, and calligraphy from both countries and can indulge in Iranian and Pakistani cuisines at the food stalls. To spice things up, traditional music and Sufi dance performances from both countries were also presented. Secretary Tourism, Archaeology, and Museums Asif Bilal Lodhi while praising the successful collaboration between TDCP and the Iranian Consulate, said that such exhibitions create opportunities for both nations to draw closer to each other. This exhibition, Pak-Iran Heritage Exchange, promises an exciting blend of art, music, and cuisine, he added.
