QUETTA: The Eidul Azha was celebrated with due religious fervor, respect and enthusiasm in the provincial metropolis on Thursday.
While Eid congregations were held at over 300 different places in the metropolis and surrounding areas, the main congregation was held at the Eidgah Toghi road.
The central Khateeb and renowned religious scholar, Maulana Anwarul Haq Haqqani led the Eid prayer.
Special arrangements were made for the Eid congregations held at Eid gahs, central mosques, parks and playgrounds located all around the city.
Security also remained on high alert in the metropolis.
The special prayers were offered for stability, peace and prosperity of the country and nation in the Eid prayers.
Meanwhile, majority of the elected representatives and important personalities celebrated Eid in their respective native towns and election constituencies.
The Eid festivals were also held in different localities of the metropolis where children celebrated Eid enjoying the horse and camel riding besides the swings.
