QUETTA: The cheque of grant of Rs. 2 million issued by the provincial government has been handed over to the office bearers of Gwadar Press Club at Gwadar on Thursday.
The Assistant Director Public Relations Department, Gwadar, Wahab Ishaq Baloch handed over the cheque of Rs. 20 lakh amount to the President of Gwadar Press Club, Noor Mohsin, its Vice President, Javed Ahmed and General Secretary, Suleman Hashim at the press club.
Speaking on the occasion, Wahab Baloch said that the present government not only strongly believes in welfare of the media persons, but is also taking solid steps in this regard.
He also mentioned that every possible steps are also being taken for resolving the issues being faced by the press clubs and the persons associated with media in the province.
In this regard, the grant of Rs. 2 million is being provided to the press clubs in the province and handing over cheque to Gwadar Press club is part of this initiative, Assistant Director Public Relations Gwadar mentioned.
He on the occasion urged media persons to highlight the public welfare steps of the government ensuring dissemination of authentic information to the general public.
