QUETTA: Highly appreciating the role of Balochistan police force in establishing peace in the province, the Corps Commander 12 Corps, Lt. General Asif Ghafoor has stated that the police force has played lead role against terrorism in the province.
He said that he recognizes the important role that has been played by the Balochistan police in establishment of peace in the province.
He also paid homage to the martyrs and injured of police on their great sacrifices saying that we would not be leaving the heirs of martyrs alone. Rather each and every individual of the motherland is the heir of families of the martyrs. Their sacrifices would always be remembered.
The Corps Commander was addressing the passing out parade ceremony of the 14th basic course at ATF training center here on Monday.
Altogether 299 personals participated and successfully completed the training.
Also present on the occasion were the Additional Chief Secretary Home, Saleh Muhammad Nasar, Inspector General of Police, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, Additional Inspector General of Police, Jawad Ahmed Dogar, Additional IG and Commandant Balochistan Constabulary, Salman Chaudhary besides other senior police officials.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commander 12 Corps urged the police force to take care of the human rights and ego of the citizens.
The police personals should become the guard and aide of the general public, adding he stressed.
He said that no doubt that peace has been established in the province due to the great sacrifices rendered by the security forces.
Lt. General Asif Ghafoor also stressed that we have to defeat nefarious designs of the enemies.
He on the occasion announced Rs. 1 million for the ATF and assured that the Pak army is ever ready to impart modern training to the police force in prevailing circumstances of the country.
He also distributed prizes and commendation certificates among the best performers of the training course and passing out.
The IGP Abdul Khaliq Sheikh also addressed the passing out ceremony.
He pledged that the police force would not hesitate to render any kind of sacrifice in the line of duty.
He mentioned that the police officers and jawans have maintained peace in the province by sacrificing their lives.
