Lawyers observe
boycott of courts’
proceedings in
Balochistan

QUETTA: The lawyers’ fraternity observed boycott of the courts’ proceedings in the courts all over Balochistan province on Monday.
The call for boycott was given by the Balochistan Bar Council (BBC) against the incident of firing at residence of senior lawyer and former Governor Punjab, Sardar Latif Khosa, extra judicial arrests and raids at the residences of lawyers and civil society representatives and other issues.
According to a leader of Balochistan Bar Council, Rahib Buledi Advocate, the lawyers didn’t appear in the courts following the boycott.
A black flag was also hoisted at the bar room of Quetta district court. Meanwhile, the public suffered due to the boycott of lawyers in the courts.
