Sajida Ahmed terms death of 298
Pakistani youths in Greece boat
capsize incident as heartbreaking

MULTAN (PR): The Chairperson, Stability of Pakistan Etihad Foundation (SPEF), Ms. Sajida Ahmed has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the loss of a large number of precious human lives in the tragic incident of boat capsizing in Greece.
In a press release issued here on Sunday, she said that the death of 298 Pakistani youths due to the capsizing of a boat in Greece is a very heartbreaking incident.
This is a sign of extreme poverty, severe unemployment in the country. The previous as well as the current governments and the elite are responsible for this sorrowful incident. The FIR of more than 298 youths is registered in Allah’s court against these upper class people.
Those died in the tragic incident were the loved ones of their families, the chairperson of SPEF mentioned adding that in the constitution of Pakistan, it has been done to the people, but unfortunately the state is completely unable to fulfill its most important and basic responsibility.
Later, after falling into the abyss of unemployment, the deceased were on their way to Europe through secret and dangerous routes in search of employment.
It is the capitalist system, the ruling elite and the state, which is responsible for this sorry incident, she maintained.
This is a dilemma that every young person is forced to go abroad and work in another country, she regretfully pointed out.
The murder case of these youths should be prosecuted against the agents who are playing with the lives of the youths in the lust of money, so that no mother’s lap will be wasted again, she pleaded.
The state in which a person is born is responsible for the life, wealth, income, education and health of every person, but the youth of our state is forced to migrate due to unemployment and economic crisis.
The chairperson of SPEF demanded of the concerned authorities to take stern action against those involved in the human smuggling without any discrimination. Even influential persons behind the sorry state of affairs should also be taken to task, she demanded further.
