QUETTA: The Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali has regretfully pointed out that there’s nothing for the province in the next financial year budget of the federal government.
He remarked that the benefit was given only to those doing business of second-hand clothes in the federal budget and added that now all may do business of lunda (second hand clothes).
These remarks were given by the Speaker provincial assembly while speaking on occasion of its session resumed on Saturday. The session was held with him in the chair.
The MPA belonging to BNP, Sanaullah Baloch also pointed out that no mega project of Balochistan is included in the federal budget.
He said that the backward province of Balochistan can’t afford the bureaucracy with lavish spending. He said that every bureaucrat of the province has five vehicles each. He said that all these vehicles may be sold and deposit the money in the government’s kitty.
Earlier, on a point of order, the MPA belonging to JUI, Younas Aziz Zehri said that the IG Police has ordered to shut the Iranian petrol pumps. He pointed out that the province is already facing the issue of unemployment as such the people may not be made jobless by closing the business of Iranian petrol, he pleaded.
On this, the Provincial Minister for Communication, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran said that he would speak to the Chief Minister over the issue of closure of the Iranian petrol pumps.
He hoped that the Iranian petrol pumps would be opened.
Meanwhile, the MPA belonging to BNP, Ms. Shakeela Naveed pointed out that the wall of house of Parliamentary Secretary Ms. Rubaba Buledi has been demolished in Naseerabad. She urged the Speaker to call Commissioner and other concerned staff in the House over the issue.
The Provincial Minister Irrigation, Muhammad Khan Lehri said that the commission has demolished the wall of house of Ms. Buledi, which was constructed 17 years back. He demanded to form a committee of the assembly to probe into the matter.
The Speaker summoned Commissioner Naseerabad on demolishing the wall of Ms. Rubaba Buledi on June 13, 2023.
Moreover, three-member committee comprising the members of assembly was also formed for investigations into the matter.
The speaker also handed over a privilege motion of MPA Nasrullah Zairay to the concerned standing committee.
On a stage, the MPA Maulvi Noorullah pointed out towards the quorum in the house. He also staged walk out of the house.
Later, the session was adjourned for an indefinite period.
