IG Punjab invited In-charge Protection Center Mehran Khan Lodhi, Traffic Warden Asma Noreen, Sub-Inspector Shafiq and Constable Muhammad Zaman to the office, also gave one lakh cash and CC1 certificates for exemplary performance. According to the details, the above team Bilal Ashfaq, a mentally challenged person from Alipur Chhata, missing for 2 month, was reunited with his family. 40-year-old Bilal Ashfaq was found lying unconscious on the roadside in Lahore by the police station race course team on patrol and brought him to the protection center Liberty Market. Team of Tahaffuz center traced and contacted the mother of this special person in Ali pur Chhatta Gujranwala. With the efforts of the police team, the mentally challenged person was reunited with his family after 2 months.
IG Punjab commended the protection center staff and police team for their high performance and directed to continue the mission of helping and protecting special persons, homeless children, women and transgenders. He said that due to such exemplary works, protection centers are becoming a brand project of Punjab Police.
