Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Vows to Promote Hindko Language and Culture

Peshawar, November 29, 2024: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi met with a delegation from the Pakistan Hindkowan Movement, led by Chairman Dr. Sufaf Yasir Advocate, at the Governor’s House. The delegation briefed the governor on the organization’s objectives, goals, and challenges.

During the meeting, discussions were held on promoting the Hindko language and culture, preserving the ancient Hindko culture, and celebrating Hindkowan Day in January. The delegation requested the governor to host an event at the Governor’s House to mark the occasion.

The governor assured the delegation that the government would take steps to promote the Hindko language and culture, including incorporating Hindko into the educational curriculum, broadcasting special programs on national media, and highlighting the beauty of Peshawar city.

Governor Kundi emphasized the importance of preserving all languages spoken in the province, including their historical significance. He also announced plans to develop a comprehensive plan to promote Hindko literature and the beauty of Peshawar city.
