Balochistan Chief Minister Pledges to Empower Women

Quetta, Nov. 27, Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has emphasized the importance of empowering women in the province. Bugti noted that half of the country’s population consists of women, and it is essential to provide them with representation in all aspects of life.¹

The Chief Minister announced the launch of a program to provide pink scooters to working women and students, aiming to promote women’s empowerment and independence. Bugti declared that universities, colleges, and secondary schools will provide scooters to female students, encouraging women to become self-sufficient.

Bugti also highlighted the impressive performance of female Deputy Commissioners in Balochistan, with five districts currently having female Deputy Commissioners. The Chief Minister expressed his commitment to promoting gender equality and providing opportunities for women to excel in all fields.
