Petroleum Shortage Looms Over Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore

A potential shortage of petroleum products is looming over Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, prompting the Ministry of Petroleum to send an urgent letter to the Chief Secretary of Punjab. The ministry has called for immediate action to ensure the supply of crude oil from the Attock Refinery.¹

According to reports, the supply of petroleum products has been disrupted due to the blockade of roads, leaving fuel tankers stranded on various highways. The Ministry of Petroleum has warned that if the situation is not resolved promptly, a shortage of petroleum products is imminent.

In light of this situation, the ministry has urged the Punjab government to develop a comprehensive plan to ensure uninterrupted oil supply. The government’s prompt attention to this matter is crucial to prevent a shortage of petroleum products in the region.
