Islamabad, November 25, 2024: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, met with Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan at the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan.
During the meeting, they discussed the development projects in Gilgit-Baltistan, the Prime Minister’s recent visit to the region, and the law and order situation.¹ Federal Secretary for Kashmir Affairs, Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry, was also present.
Engineer Amir Muqam stated that the development of Gilgit-Baltistan is the top priority of the federal government. He added that the Prime Minister’s recently announced development projects will be implemented soon. Muqam also announced plans to establish a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Gilgit-Baltistan to maintain law and order.²
The Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan thanked the Federal Minister for his keen interest in resolving the issues faced by the region.
