Maulana Abdul Wasey voices concern  over new wave of terrorism, law &  order situation in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Provincial Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami (JUI) Senator Maulana Abdul Wasey has expressed deep concern over what it termed deteriorating situation of law and order in the province.

While addressing a scheduled press conference at the JUI’s provincial secretariat on Wednesday afternoon along with other Jamiat leaders, Maulana Abdul Wasey said that we are deeply concerned about the new wave of terrorism in the province.

He said that protests were lodged against incidents of terrorism in the province. He referred to the incidents of terrorism at Quetta Railway station, attacks at the coal mines in Duki and Harnai besides the abduction of a school child from van in Quetta saying that these and other similar acts of terrorism and lawlessness are matter of great concern for us.

He said that a meeting of JUI was also held on circumstances of the province, in which it was feared that there may be more disturbance in province in future.

He questioned performance of the law enforcement agencies saying that if the law and order can’t be controlled then why billions of rupees are allocated for the purpose.

He stressed that the law enforcement agencies should fulfill their responsibilities with regard to maintain law and order in the province.

The JUI Provincial Ameer criticized the government for raids in madrissas in Pishin and Chaman.

He said that madaris are our red line and we wouldn’t accept the illegal raids on them.

He said that some elements don’t want registration of the madaris, and adding asserted that we would run movement, if the attitude was not changed.
