Gilgit, November 19, – In a historic move, the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has unveiled a comprehensive program at the Center of Excellence (Polytechnic Institute) Gilgit to develop Occupational Profiles and Competency Standards. This pioneering initiative is the first of its kind in Pakistan.
The five-day session, scheduled from November 18 to 22, focuses on Digital Marketing and eCommerce, offering specialized modules including:
Digital Marketing & SEO*
Digital Content Creation*
Small Business Accounting*
eCommerce Store Management*
eCommerce for Farm Product Marketing*
Industry experts and representatives from Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authorities (TEVTAs) across Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Federal, and Balochistan are participating in the session, bringing diverse perspectives and expertise
Secretary Higher, Technical & Special Education (HT&SE) Mr. Farid Ahmad visited the session to observe the training activities and held a strategic meeting to discuss the program’s potential impact on Pakistan’s digital landscape.
This initiative aligns with NAVTTC’s mission to enhance social and economic development through vocational training. By introducing competency standards and qualifications, NAVTTC aims to improve the quality of training and increase options for learners.
