Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani, a senior politician and former senator, has strongly criticized the role of Serena Hotel in exacerbating the crisis in Balochistan. He stated that those who orchestrated the political market at Serena Hotel in 2023 have plunged Balochistan into its worst-ever crises.
Raisani emphasized that the people of Balochistan have been betrayed by prioritizing power through the Serena Hotel project, rather than democratic means. He also highlighted the alarming issue of land grabbing and fake legislation, which has led to the displacement of locals from their historical homeland.
“The political and administrative projects of the establishment in Balochistan have failed miserably,” Raisani noted. “Whether it’s the Serena Hotel project or the Murree Agreement, these initiatives have only worsened the province’s crises.” He stressed that if state institutions had fulfilled their constitutional responsibilities and refrained from meddling in politics, the country, particularly Balochistan, would not be facing such severe administrative and peace challenges.
As a veteran politician, Raisani has been vocal about the issues plaguing Balochistan. His concerns echo the sentiments of many who are seeking meaningful change in the province.
