Islamabad, Nov 19 – Najy Benhassine, Country Director of the World Bank, met with former Chairman and Provincial Assembly member Sadique Sanjrani at his residence yesterday. The meeting focused on World Bank-supported projects in Balochistan, with Sanjrani emphasizing the crucial role of international institutions in a country’s development.¹
Sanjrani praised the World Bank’s valuable contributions to Balochistan’s social and developmental sectors, calling them “praiseworthy.” The discussion also touched on challenges posed by climate change and other mutually interesting issues.
As Country Director for Pakistan, Najy Benhassine oversees the World Bank’s operations in the country. His expertise includes financial sector development, and he has authored several publications on economic growth and development.
