Sardar Kohyar Domki wins  bye-election on PB-8  securing 35,716 votes

QUETTA: The candidate of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), Sardar Kohyar Khan Domki won the bye-election conducted on the vacant seat of provincial assembly, PB-8, the other day.

According to the unofficial results, Sardar Kohyar Khan Domki secured 35,716 votes while his close contestant, Mir Asghar Khan Marri, 11,949 votes.

It may be mentioned here that Mir Asghar Khan Marri contested the bye-election as an independent candidate. However, according to the reports, he (Marri) had announced boycott of the bye-elections in middle of the polling on Sunday.

Tough security arrangements were made for the bye-election in PB-8.

The seat of provincial assembly had fallen vacant due to death of Sardar Sarfraz Chakar Domki, father of the winning candidate, Sardar Kohyar Domki.

It may also be mentioned here that in all 22 candidates were in the competition run for the seat of provincial assembly from Sibi cum Lehri.
