Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur, Altaf Ahmed Chachar, chaired a meeting with traders and members of the Karyana Merchant Association to determine prices of daily essentials. The meeting decided to take strict action against those who charge more than the fixed rates, imposing heavy fines on violators.

The meeting, attended by assistant commissioners, Mukhtiyarkar, Additional Director Agriculture Khuda Bakhsh Kalhoro, Price Inspectors Shah Nawaz Mehr, and Godown Inspector Ghulam Mustafa Pathan, aimed to regulate prices and prevent overcharging.

The Deputy Commissioner warned that anyone found charging more than the fixed rates would face severe consequences, including heavy fines. This move is expected to provide relief to consumers and maintain price stability in the market.
