The Director-General of the Environmental Department issued a notification, following Commissioner Rawalpindi Amir Khattak’s recommendation to lift the ban. Khattak cited improved air quality in Rawalpindi in his official correspondence.

This decision was made in the public interest, considering the improved smog situation. The authorities will continue to monitor the air quality and take necessary measures to ensure public safety.
