PPP’s Sardar Kohyar Khan Domki Wins By-Election in PB-8 Sibi

In the by-election held in Sibi’s constituency PB-8, Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) candidate Sardar Kohyar Khan Domki has emerged victorious with a significant majority, according to unofficial and preliminary results.¹ Domki, the son of late Sardar Sarfraz Khan Domki, a provincial minister of PPP, was fielded by the party to contest the seat left vacant after his father’s demise.

The Election Commission of Pakistan had announced the election on November 17. Mir Asghar Mari of Sibi Ittehad secured the second position despite boycotting the election, while Khan Wali Khan Marghzani of PTI and Syed Noor Ahmed Shah Khajjak of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party secured third and fourth positions, respectively.

This by-election was crucial for PPP, as it aimed to retain its stronghold in the region. With Domki’s victory, PPP has managed to maintain its influence in Sibi.
