In a significant crackdown on narcotics trafficking, the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Khurkhera intercepted a Mazda Truck on the Main RCD Highway, seizing 19.832 kg of marijuana and apprehending three individuals, including the driver and conductors.
Acting on intelligence, Deputy Collector Syed Talha Salman formed a special team led by Inspector Imran Khan to intercept the vehicle on November 15, 2024. Upon inspection, hidden cavities in the truck revealed plastic boxes and jars containing the contraband.
The accused were promptly presented before a magistrate, and the investigation officer has taken remand for further interrogation.
