ANF Cracks Down on Drug Smuggling in Educational Institutions and Cities

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a nationwide operation against drug smuggling, arresting 9 suspects and seizing over 68 kg of narcotics worth Rs. 7.8 million.

*Operations in Educational Institutions*

In Sargodha, ANF recovered 1.6 kg of charas from a motorcyclist near a university. The arrested suspect confessed to selling drugs to students.

*Other ANF Operations*

1. Peshawar: 10.8 kg of opium and 6 kg of charas were seized from a car’s hidden compartments, with 2 suspects arrested.
2. Peshawar: 12 kg of charas was recovered from 4 parcels at a courier office, destined for Sialkot, Lahore, and Gujranwala.
3. Lahore: 9.6 kg of charas and 2.4 kg of opium were seized from 4 suspects in Thokar Niaz Baig.
4. Lahore: 184 grams of ice were recovered from a parcel bound for Bahrain at a Johar Town courier office.
5. Faisalabad: 24 kg of charas was seized from a car, with 1 suspect arrested.
6. Karachi: 50 tablets were recovered from a parcel sent from the UK at a local courier office.

The ANF’s relentless efforts aim to curb the spread of narcotics, particularly in educational institutions, and ensure a safer Pakistan.
