National Party leaders and supporters took to the streets in Balochistan to condemn the targeted killing of local leader Akbar Baloch. The protests, led by National Party’s provincial president Aslam Baloch, denounced the murder as an act of terrorism, rather than a tribal issue.¹
Aslam Baloch criticized the police’s inability to apprehend the perpetrators, questioning their performance and competence. He warned that the National Party will not rest until the killers are brought to justice. The party has vowed to escalate protests, blocking highways and targeting government offices if the perpetrators remain at large.
Protest Demands:*
Immediate Arrest of Perpetrators_: Protesters demand swift action from law enforcement agencies.
_Improved Security Measures_: Enhanced protection for political leaders and citizens.
_Accountability_: Investigation into police inaction and potential complicity.
The protests have sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for increased security measures and accountability within the province. The National Party has pledged to raise the issue in provincial and national assemblies, ensuring that Akbar Baloch’s murder is not swept under the rug.
