Jacobabad Deputy Commissioner, Abrar Ahmed Jafar, and SSP, Captain (R) Saddam Hussein, Visit Polling Stations

Jacobabad’s Deputy Commissioner, Abrar Ahmed Jafar, and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Captain (R) Saddam Hussein, inspected three polling stations in Ward 6 today. During the visit, they reviewed the voting process and security arrangements, receiving briefings from officers stationed at the polling stations.

To maintain peace and order during the local government municipal elections, a security team led by the SSP, comprising over 200 police personnel, officers, and women personnel, has been deployed. This team includes:

– *Security Personnel*: 02 DSPs, 06 SHOs, QRF groups, police fighters, patrolling parties, and a response unit.
– *CCTV Cameras*: Installed at every sensitive polling station to ensure peace and order.
– *Arms Display Ban*: To ensure peace and order during the elections, displaying arms has been prohibited, with legal action to be taken against violators.

These measures aim to provide a secure environment for the elections, which are part of the larger municipal elections being held in 26 districts across Sindh.¹
